VL Scott Hendrickson, CPA
​Scott spent the first 25 years of his career working as a contract CFO for companies across the Northwest. Nineteen years ago, he founded a firm dedicated to helping business owners with tax strategy and preparation, financial statement reviews and compilations, and advisory services. Scott merged that firm with North Cascades CPA, where Scott now leverages over 30 years of combined experience to help guide both our team and our clients toward their full potential.


Austin Hendrickson, CPA
A graduate of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, Austin brings a strong foundation in business finance, advanced technology, and forward-thinking industry expertise to the firm. With valuable experience gained from working in the audit department of a large regional CPA firm, he now co-leads North Cascades CPA’s financial statements and audit division. Austin works closely with the other partners—both learning from their decades of experience and stepping into leadership roles to help drive the firm’s continued growth and innovation.
Chris Sullivan, CPA
Chris has been a key member of Stanford, Munko & Co. for many years and helped with the successful merger of the firm’s operations into North Cascades CPA. With 30 years of experience as a CPA serving families and businesses throughout the Northwest, Chris brings deep expertise in tax strategy and a strong commitment to client success. He has played a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s technology and operations and is known for his ability to support individuals and organizations of all sizes. Chris has also been instrumental in expanding our HOA audit practice.


James Miles, CPA
James is valued for the ability to enhance customer service, provide counsel, empower staff, streamline processes, and discover tax refund opportunities.
With nearly 40 years of income tax experience in both public accounting and corporate settings, James has worked across Texas, Calgary (Alberta), Bothell (Washington), and Kalispell (Montana). He spent 25 years in Texas and has practiced with two Big Four firms—KPMG and EY. He also served as a tax director for three publicly traded companies and brings extensive experience advising small businesses.
Outside of work, James enjoys golfing, traveling, and watching movies with friends and family.
Scott McFadden, CPA, CGMA
Scott began his career in public accounting in 2001, gaining experience in both public and industry roles before joining North Cascades CPA. Over the years, as a CPA and CGMA, he has worked with local, regional, and national firms—specializing in assurance services for nonprofit organizations and contributing to technical accounting initiatives, engagement quality management, and firmwide policy development.
​Today, Scott serves as a Senior Audit Manager at North Cascades CPA, where he leads the department dedicated to serving homeowners associations and nonprofit clients. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement across client service and internal processes.
​Outside of work, Scott enjoys sharing his love of sports and games with his three daughters—teaching them volleyball, basketball, and softball, and introducing them to tabletop games. He’s also been a longtime participant in the Greater Seattle CPA (GSCPA) Softball League since the start of his public accounting career, and enjoys weekly basketball at his church year-round.

David Munko, CPA
Dave began assisting individual and business clients with their tax and accounting matters in 1983. In 1993, he succeeded his father, Anthony Munko, as a managing member of Stanford, Munko & Co. Throughout his career, Dave focused on developing a deep understanding of his clients and their priorities, allowing him to deliver thoughtful tax strategies and practical financial advice. He was always ready to assist as clients navigated life’s financial milestones. Dave also dedicated himself to mentoring his associates, ensuring that his client-centered approach was reflected in every aspect of the firm’s work.


Brian Botnen, CPA
Brian was a key member of Stanford, Munko & Co. for many years and played an important role in the successful merger of the firm’s operations into North Cascades CPA. This strategic move was designed to ensure clients continue to have access to a local CPA firm with the right expertise and team to support them for years to come. With 35 years of experience serving families and businesses across the Northwest, Brian brings deep knowledge and commitment to client success. He has also been instrumental in expanding our HOA audit practice.
James Powers, CPA
​Jim was a long-time member of Stanford, Munko & Co. He and his partners merged their operations into North Cascades CPA as part of a plan to ensure their clients had a local CPA firm with the right experience and team to serve them for years to come. With over 40 years of experience working with families and businesses in the Northwest, Jim contributed his expertise in financial statement preparation and specialized in tax planning and preparation for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and estates.
