VL Scott Hendrickson, CPA
​Scott has more than 30 years of experience in business, tax, and finance. 25 of those years were as a fractional CFO in the manufacturing, construction, timber, and real estate industries. He also started and built a CPA firm focused on tax advantaged entity structures, tax & business strategy, and estate planning. Scott oversees the operations of North Cascades CPA.
Outside of work, Scott serves on a local non-profit board and enjoys traveling and fishing when he can break away.


Austin Hendrickson, CPA
Austin brings a strong foundation in business finance, advanced technology, and forward-thinking industry expertise to the firm. With valuable experience gained from working in the audit department of a large regional CPA firm, he now co-leads North Cascades CPA’s financial statements and audit division. Austin works closely with the other partners—both learning from their decades of experience and stepping into leadership roles to help drive the firm’s continued growth and innovation.

James Miles, CPA
James is valued for the ability to enhance customer service, provide counsel, empower staff, streamline processes, and discover tax refund opportunities.
With nearly 40 years of income tax experience in both public accounting and corporate settings, James has worked across Texas, Calgary (Alberta), Bothell (Washington), and Kalispell (Montana). He spent 25 years in Texas and has practiced with two Big Four firms—KPMG and EY. He also served as a tax director for three publicly traded companies and brings extensive experience advising small businesses.
Outside of work, James enjoys golfing, traveling, and watching movies with friends and family.
James Miles, CPA
With more than 30 years of income tax experience in both public accounting and corporate settings, James has worked across Texas, Alberta, Washington, and Montana. He spent his early career in Texas working for KPMG and EY before finding his way home to Washington state. James has broad experience with a wide variety of clients from publicly traded companies to high-net-worth individuals and small closely held businesses. He helps his clients with income tax planning, exit planning, navigating federal, state, and local tax considerations and supporting long‑term business growth while also achieving personal financial goals.
Outside of work, James enjoys golfing, traveling, and watching movies with friends and family.

Scott McFadden, CPA, CGMA
Scott began his career in public accounting in 2001, gaining experience in both public and industry roles before joining North Cascades CPA. Over the years, as a CPA and CGMA, he has worked with local, regional, and national firms—specializing in assurance services for nonprofit organizations and contributing to technical accounting initiatives, engagement quality management, and firmwide policy development.
​Today, Scott serves as a Senior Audit Manager at North Cascades CPA, where he leads the department dedicated to serving homeowners associations and nonprofit clients. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement across client service and internal processes.
​Outside of work, Scott enjoys sharing his love of sports and games with his three daughters—teaching them volleyball, basketball, and softball, and introducing them to tabletop games. He’s also been a longtime participant in the Greater Seattle CPA (GSCPA) Softball League since the start of his public accounting career, and enjoys weekly basketball at his church year-round.

David Martinson, CPA
David brings more than 25 years of experience providing tax advisory and consulting services to individuals and businesses throughout Washington. He advises clients on strategic tax planning, tax compliance, and entity structure, with a focus on closely held businesses and their owners. David partners with clients from start‑up through exit planning, helping them navigate federal, state, and local tax considerations while supporting long‑term business growth and personal financial goals. He delivers proactive, tax‑efficient solutions through practical guidance tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. Committed to building long‑term client relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and results.
Outside of work, you will likely find him enjoying time with family or staying active in the great outdoors.


Dana Lee, CPA
Dana Lee, CPA (FL) is a Senior Tax Manager with nearly 20 years of public accounting experience serving small and mid-sized businesses, real estate owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals. She specializes in federal and state tax compliance, review, and planning across individual, partnership, and corporate entities, with industry experience including real estate, professional services, technology startups, and manufacturing. In addition to her client work, Dana has extensive experience mentoring and training tax professionals and has taught accounting at the university level. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to her work, with a strong focus on accuracy, proactive planning, and responsive client service.
Fareeha Naim, CPA
Fareeha has more than 10 years of experience working in all areas of tax, spanning Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Dublin, and now Seattle. She has worked with individuals, trusts, estates, investment funds, and operating entities, from small startups to ultra-high net worth individuals. With a special focus on partnerships and s-corporations, Fareeha loves learning about her clients’ businesses and watching them flourish. Her favorite part of the job is knowing the people and what they are passionate about, and devising strategies to make sure they can continue doing what they love. Outside of work, she is an avid NWSL fan, enjoys getting out into nature however she can, traveling the world, and trying endless restaurants.
